The Air Jordan 9 Retro 'Cool Grey' revives a design true to the original 2002 release, highlighted by a grey nubuck upper with a tonal patent leather overlay. Branding elements include a woven Air Jordan label atop the tongue and Michael Jordan's jersey number embroidered on the back heel. The sneaker rests on a white polyurethane midsole with encapsulated Air-sole cushioning in the forefoot and heel. The grey semi-translucent rubber outsole features multi-lingual details, nodding to MJ's emergence as a global sports star.

My dad just raved about these shoes again. He's had these sneakers since December 2016. For the past ten years he's never had a pair of shoes that lasted more than half year until he met these. This one made it well past and he feels it will last more months to come. Another plus are the velcro snaps; his hands are not as nimble so the Velcro is perfect to secure his feet into the shoes. He is so happy with these, he's planning his next pair; he requested to get these same shoes next time he needs a new pair but in the color black and half size smaller.

I love the look of these shoes. Bought the gray slip on, women's size 7. Fit is perfect, very lightweight and comfortable. I didn't give a 5 only because I have not worn for an extended period of time. Will resubmit review after the "walk" test.

This is the 2014 version of this shoe, the last that was worth the price. After 2014, the quality has gone down. I don't know what we will do since this version of the shoe has been a mainstay in our home for my husband's severe foot issues. His orthotic fits inside it properly and the shoe keeps hims stable and does not roll sideways. We will need to shop for another brand, but this version if you can still find it, is the one to get for over pronation.
