Limited to a mere 8,500 pairs, the Air Jordan 1 Low OG 'Chinese New Year' pays homage to the lunar holiday via classic 'Bred' color blocking and a festive jacquard print across the textile upper. Floral embroidery and explicit nods to the year of the ox, juxtaposed with a golden Jordan Wings logo on the heel tab, mark the design. Traditional Nike Air branding decorates the woven tongue tag and sockliner. Accompanying this unique pair are a tasseled rope bracelet and a red envelope holding a collectible card, both echoing Chinese New Year gifting customs.

i've owned three pairs now, and i was able to get a little over 350mi out of each pair, i think. I generally like the cushioned running shoes, even though i don't log as many miles weekly as i used to (collegiately and post, about 60-70mi). nowadays i run several times per week and mostly cycle, but these shoes held up well to sporadic use, were comfy on the occasional half-marathon, and wore as well in the rain as in the shine.

the coloring will come off if you have to clean it. also, if these get wet, your socks will turn blue. if kept dry, they are great shoes. more for fashion than athletic performance though.

I live in boat shoes, both ashore (mostly) an on my boat. This is my second pair of Sea Kites. I also have a pair in another color. The Sea Kites hold up well with my day to day use and a bit of abuse. I've been through Timberland, Bass, and Clarks over the years. They have gone through up and down cycles of quality. Right now Sperry is on top and I find the others disappointing in terms of fit and quality.

These shoes fit really well and have a unique look to them. The style can pass for something casual but also can pass for something with a bit more style than the average everyday look. I've only had these shoes a month or two and have already received a few compliments on them. I guess even with their subtle color, the style stands out.
