The Comme des Garçons Homme Plus x Nike Air Foamposite One ‘Black’ delivers Rei Kawakubo’s monochrome take on the vintage hoops shoe originally released in 1997. Unveiled in Tokyo at the CDG Homme Plus Fall/Winter 2021 runway show, the sneaker features a blacked-out synthetic upper covered in wavy circular patterns. Branding elements include an embroidered mini-Swoosh on the lateral forefoot and ‘Comme des Garçons Homme Plus’ inscribed on the heel tab. Underfoot, Penny Hardaway’s 1 Cent logo decorates the herringbone-traction rubber outsole.

The fit is decent, very low top - the color in person is a little washed out, which you can see in the pictures. It's just that you don't realize how desaturated the color is until you're wearing them and that isn't necessarily a bad thing it's just something I didn't think about until I saw them in person - I actually think I prefer it. I'd love them if they were just a tad darker and more "true" red but that is my preference not the fault of the product.

These shoes work great, they are very similar to other shoes I’ve trained with but these cost about $25 less. They fit well and seem to be well made. The only complaint I have is that the laces are very short so you may consider buying other laces.

These have been my go-to tennis shoes for years. These shoes get replaced every year(time not looks)to ensure proper fit and support. I wear them with orthotic inserts.
